      The immediate goal of the center is to provide options / choices to people in the locale that will promote self and collective empowerment. By putting up appropriate projects, we strive to encourage the individual and the group to actively participate in their community level decision making process, explore other healthy possibilities  beyond the present conformist lifestyle, and eventually create autonomous, ecologically healthy and self-sufficient communities .

    Under this are five major projects which  we hold   alternately in and outside the Social Centre.  Below are the following.

1.) Social Education Project

2.) Environmental Education Project

   

      Critical Issues from global to local are discussed in small groups, alternately held between the Social Education project, twice every month.  more »

 3.) Radical School of  thought Project

 

       Unorthodox subjects from academe,art, science, politics are discussed and deconstructed once every month held in and outside the social center.  The event only involves small group discussions.  more »

4.) Eco-Community  Project

 

                     

      The project aims to determine and respond appropriately to the needs of a particular region in the locale.  Music, art and alternative education is usually the immediate action taken to attract folks in a specific area.  more »

5.) Self-sufficiency and Capability-building project 

             

       Although the Project has not started yet, efforts are made to further advance the possibility of reaching communities in the locale to provide capability building workshops, sustainability planning and many others.  The project aims to support Earth-based organic products produced by small scale food and medicine producers in the locale.  Shown here is a step by step process of gluten making.  more »
